I know i've complained here about crocheting blankets, it takes forever to finish one. But then i saw an AWESOME blanket that i just have to make. I havent got a clue where i'm going to find the time, but i just love this one.
It's from the blog of Pescnos Frirum, but... its in Danish, so i'll try to translate it, or is anybody reading this very good in Danish?

Mooi is die he, staat ook hoog op mijn lijstje. Via google zijn er ook wel engelstalige beschrijving. Tenzij je een dubbele uitdaging zoekt... ;-)
ReplyDeleteSucces!
Wonderful blanket ♥
ReplyDeleteAnd I like your blog ;-)
Hello. I'm danish, I could translate it, if you want me to? (:
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, that would be great! :-) thank you so much for the offer!
DeleteHi again!
DeleteHere is the pattern for the giant crochet blanket.
(Pescno did around 170 squares total, used a 6-6,5 mm hook. She sew the squares together and did single crochet all around the edge.)
1st row: 2 chains
turn
2nd row: 1 single crochet in first chain
1 chain to turn
3rd row: 2 single crochet in the same stitch
1 chain to turn
4th row: 1 single crochet in the first stitch, 2 single crochet in the last stitch
1 chain to turn
5th row: 1 single crochet in each stitch, 2 single crochet in the last stitch
1 chain to turn
Repeat 5th row to the desired width. Pescno ended up having 20 stitches. After this do the opposite, where you do 2 single crochet in each last stitch on each row.
Ask me if you have any questions about this. (:
